Utility Bill Payment InformationTo view your account information or to pay your utility bill online, please go to your Account Portal. If you are registering for the first time, you will need the following information:

  • Utility Account Number
  • Your address exactly as it appears on your utility bill
  • The email address that you have provided to the Village
Reminder: If your phone number or email has recently changed, you must contact the Village Water Department to update. Please call 614-873-3527 ext. 100 or email.

In-person payment: Payments can be delivered to the Municipal Building, 800 Village Blvd. Plain City, OH 43064. Please utilize the secure payment dropbox in the vestibule if visiting after regular business hours.

Payment by mail: Please mail payments to the Village of Plain City, c/o Water Department, P.O. Box 167, 800 Village Blvd., Plain City, OH 43064.

Payment Processing ReminderUtility payments made on or after the 25th of the month might not be reflected in the upcoming billing statement. To ensure accurate billing and to avoid any potential inconvenience, we kindly ask you to make your payments before the 25th of each month.

Paperless Billing InformationThe Village of Plain City offers residents the ability to enroll in paperless billing for utility bills. To enroll in paperless billing, please complete the Paperless Billing Enrollment Form and return to the Village Water Department either in person or via email.

By enrolling in paperless billing for utility bills, residents are responsible for the payment of charges every month. Payment is due even if one of the following occurs:
  • The electronic delivery was not received.
  • Email address has been changed without notifying the Village of Plain City Water Department.
  • Circumstances beyond the Village's control prevent the proper transmission of the paperless utility bill delivery.

Utility Payment FAQsVillage of Plain City residents pay a combined utility bill consisting of water, sewer and trash. 
  • Bills are due by the 15th of every month. 
  • Bills not paid by the 15th day of the billing month become delinquent and will be subject to a 10% penalty charge. 
  • If any bill is not paid by the 25th day of the following month, the water is eligible to be disconnected without further notice. 
  • Payments received after 2:30 PM shall be credited to the following business day. 
  • The late payment charge will be based on current charges only. The late payment charge shall not be compounded on future delinquencies.
  • Please note that if your usage is 2,000 gallons per month or less, you will be charged a set minimum amount. If usage is greater than 2,000 gallons per month, you will be charged an amount above the minimum, with the amount increasing according to your monthly usage. 

Bulk Water Reminder
If you're considering filling your swimming pool with more than 1,000 gallons of water, we kindly ask that you contact us beforehand so we may provide you with a sewer credit. It is important to note, however, that the Village does not offer any discounts or credits to residents for watering their lawns. Please be mindful of potential increases in your monthly water bill due to lawn watering.

To arrange for the sewer credit for the filling of a swimming pool, simply reach out to us with the following details:

1. Your beginning meter reading.
2. The date you plan to begin filling your pool.
3. The date you anticipate completing the filling process.
4. Your ending meter reading.
