WHERE IS THE EVENT?
Pastime Park- 370 N. Chillicothe Street. Please enter at the Main Entrance from N. Chillicothe Street. Signs will direct you where to go.
DO I HAVE TO UNLOAD MY CAR?
No. This is a drive through event. The Village will have volunteers who will assist with unloading your vehicle.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Village of Plain City residents only(No businesses please). If you receive a utility bill of water, sewer & trash from the Village, you qualify as a resident.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There is no charge. This is a free event.
CAN I BRING ANYTHING ELSE?
The Village cannot accept anything other than paper and electronics as described below.
WHAT IF I CAN’T COME BETWEEN 8:00 AM - NOON?
Due to vendor availability, the Village cannot accept items other than during the times advertised.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
The event will be held rain or shine. However, if there are unsafe conditions (i.e. lightning), the event will be suspended for safety reasons. The Village is not able to reschedule the event.
HOW CAN I HELP GIVE BACK?
Daily Needs Assistance (DNA) will be collecting canned goods, non-perishable food, and toiletries during the event. DNA cannot accept expired items.
PAPER RECYCLING
HOW MUCH PAPER CAN I BRING?
A limit equivalent to five (5) standard-size paper grocery bags per vehicle is allowed.
WHAT ITEMS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR SHREDDING?
- Family or household documents (such as financial, legal and medical documents)
- Paper with staples, paper clips and/or rubber bands
- Manila folders

- Business records (this includes home businesses)
- Binders
- Notebooks
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Books
- Phonebooks

WILL THE RECORDS BE SHREDDED ON-SITE OR TAKEN AWAY?
No on-site shredding will be provided. Records will be taken away to the vendor's secure facility to be shredded.
ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
WHAT ITEMS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR ELECTRONIC RECYCLING?
- Monitors, gaming systems, tablets, wearables (watches, headphones, heart rate monitors, etc), printers and software (CDs, DVDs, floppy disks)
- Data Capturing/Barcode Print Equipment: barcode scanners, mobile terminals, vehicle mount computers, RFID scanners, printers (mobile, thermal, RFID) and consumables (labels, tags, ribbons, etc)
- Data Center/Networking Equipment: routers, modems, switches, bridges, hubs, servers (rack mount, stand-alone), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), storage equipment (disk arrays, HDDs, data backup systems) and cabling (CAT5, coxial, fiber)
